Intro: Literacy Narrative

As I mentioned before, this was one of my favorite papers to write, because of the freedom I had to freely express myself. I enjoy writing without being required to use sources or any outside information besides information I already know, which is what we did for this paper. At first, it was hard for me to choose what specific moment to write about, because I thought more of eras in my life than a specific event. However, I feel as though my paper came together very nicely in the end. I think I did a good job of drawing in the reader and placing them in the story right beside me. I think I also fulfilled the requirements on the paper well by showin how this time in my life shaped my perception of myself as a writer. I think my conclusion could’ve been a little longer and more detailed, but besides that, there’s not much about my paper that I would change!
This part of my journey in this class helped me to remember the passion I once had as a writer, and that I am in fact a good writer. While writing this paper, I realized that part of who I am is in fact a writer, and this plays a big part into my identify as a student. It made me ponder how much I’ll be writing after I get out of college and whether or not I will keep writing simply for pleasure, if I don’t have requirements for school. I know I’ll most likely be required to write various documents for whatever job I have, but this assignment made me think about how much open-ended writing I’m going to do in the future.
